Junior Structural Engineer
Dayton, Ohio · Architecture/EngineeringAMG Incorporated is looking for a Structural Engineer who enjoys turning real-world constraints into smart, buildable solutions and seeing their work come to life in the field. This is a great opportunity for an early-career engineer to take ownership of real projects and build hands-on experience in structural design for industrial applications.
Daily Functions:
This position will focus on structural member designs initially with progressive growth into larger more complex projects. Lots of room for growth!
Daily Functions:
- Design and evaluate structural members using load calculations
- Determine feasibility and optimize solutions for industrial applications
- Work with Unistrut systems, including member and fitting selection
- Apply sound engineering judgment to develop safe, efficient designs
- Coordinate with internal teams to deliver practical, efficient designs and support occasional visits to client site (local).
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering (may consider Civil or Mechanical with applicable experience)
- 2-5 years of structural design experience
- Strong understanding of structural fundamentals and member sizing
- Detail-oriented with a practical, problem-solving mindset
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Dayton, Ohio area
